Handcrafted from Poplar, this mute was developed by Buffalo Philharmonic Principal Horn, Jacek Muzyk.  This new version of the Moosic mute is very lightweight, and features a tuning sleeve.

TrumCor Tri-Stop Mute - $120.00
Dennis Houghton consulted with Gregory Hustis to design and develop the Tri-Stop mute. This versatile mute features three interchangeable bell flares. Each flare is uniquely sized to accommodate tone color, register and volume needs:

• Flare #1 delivers a very compact, buzzy sound.
• Flare #2 provides excellent projection; most similar to hand-stopping
• Flare #3 was designed specifically for low & pedal range playing (great for Tchaik 6!)

TrumCor #45 - $95.00   
While having a shape and feel similar to a "Rittich" style mute, the “45” produces an even, rich sound throughout range – free-blowing & clear. Excellent for the soloist, yet suitable for the low hornist.

The #45T is a tunable version with an adjustable chimney.

Designed and shaped for the Conn 8D, the #24 provides some resistance for clean, well centered attacks in the high range, warm sound.

Patterned after the "DePolis" mute, the #4 is designed for small and medium-throated (Geyer-style) instruments.

The #5 sounds especially good in the upper register.  It is designed for large-throated instruments (Kruspe style, Lawson)

Horn #44 - $95.00 
A modified Rittich style with a relatively open muted sound, the #44 is capable of tremendous dynamic contrasts. Exceptionally responsive in all registers, the #44 comes with two differently sized "donuts" for aperture control.
